Site Guide & Maps

REGION1

The Chesapeake Bay spans two states, Maryland and Virginia, and covers 195 miles from north to south.

The Bay has 5,600 miles of shoreline, of which less than 2% is publicly owned.

This is a tremendous amount of real estate to attempt to categorize.

From the map at the left, you can tell the Bay has been divided into 3 regions; the Upper Bay, the Middle Bay, and the Lower Bay.  Rach region is further divided by county and/or city.

Throughout TheChesapeakeBay.com regions, counties, and/or cities will be referenced wherever applicable to assist you in keeping your bearings.
